Blacks Without Borders: chasing the American dream in South Africa premiered on Showtime and was featured at the Congressional Black Caucus’ Annual Legislative Conference in September. The film follows a group of African Americans who went to South Africa to find the American dream. Along the way they discovered that America was not the only land of opportunity and boundaries that many of them faced in the US didn’t exist in South Africa. This film also captures the wonderful lifestyle South Africa has to offer and features a tour of their amazing homes that includes an 11,000 sq ft house with its own helipad and overlooks the Indian Ocean to a 33,000 sq ft mansion that sits on 700 acres. The film is informative and inspirational. It will take you by surprise and leave you deeply moved.



After the film’s premiered, we were flooded with thousands of emails and phone calls. One man said he watched it 13 times, an Atlanta woman whose family had fallen on hard times said it allowed her to dream again, young people were moved to tears, famed radio personality, Michael Baisden called it incredible and featured us on his show twice and even the producers at The Oprah Winfrey Show were so moved by the film they recommended to Oprah that she have us on her show.
